This is one of those times I am glad that I got out of my grilling comfort zone and tried something new!
Pizza on the grill give you all the melty, cheesy goodness of pizza with the crispy, smoky flavor of the grill. It was awesome. This is definitely the new way to cook pizza all summer long.
We learned that hotter is not always better. While the first pizza was great, the second pizza turned out the best. By the time we grilled pizza #2 the coals were smoldering and they had been burning for about 45 minutes. We also made sure to keep the grill covered as much as possible. This helped to really lock in that grill flavor, and to control the temperature.
